Introducing the state-of-the-art in multirotor 4-in-1 ESCs. Been dreaming of that compact installation on a standardized stack or extra protection for your ESCs?  40% lighter than a typical set of 4 ESCs, this is the answer for a light race frame with thin arms or tubular arms. This is not your old-school 4-in-1 ESC because of its ability to support 6S Lipo input, the 6 layer PCB design, and a 3 oz PCB pour. It is really a 4-in-1 ready for a race environment. The design uses hardware PWM for ultra smooth motor response.  Oneshot 125, Oneshot42 and Multishot are auto-detected.  Dshot 150, 300 and 600 are supported without making any modifications (input caps have been removed). Please note, these are the newest version with the BB2 processor operating at 48MHz.

BLHeli_S Features:

  • BLHeli_S has motor PWM that is synchronous to the MCU master clock, as it is generated by hardware. This makes the motor silent and throttle response that is smooth as silk. 
  • BLHeli_S has very small throttle steps of resolution up to 2048 steps
  • BLHeli_S will have the same good Sync holding properties as base BLHeli. Maybe even better.
  • BLHeli_S generally spin-up better than base BLHeli.
  • BLHeli_S does damped light, only.
  • BLHeli_S supports very high motor Speeds. A BB1 MCU will support 350k erpm, and the limit of the BB2 is not yet known, so the code is set to limit at 500k erpm.
  • BLHeli_S supports regular 1-2ms input signal, as well as Oneshot125, Oneshot42 and Multishot. Autodetected when the ESC sees an input signal.
  • Last and by no means least, is simplicity. If you have a regular setup, just install and go fly (calibrate if your throttle range does not match BLHeli_S default). Or if you need to configure or update, just do so with the simplicity offered by connecting to your ESCs through the FlightController, using BLHeliSuite and a USB cable.

*  All Cicadas bought from Quadrysteria after 28th Dec 2016, do NOT need the capacitors removed to support DSHOT300 or DSHOT600. If you bought yours before this date, it will support DSHOT150 and DSHOT300 without removing the capacitors and DSHOT600 if you remove the capacitors. BLHeli_S version 16.43 or later is recommended.
